About 15 years ago, McDowell Presbyterian Church began construction of a playground to serve all children and families in the community. Members donated funds for various pieces of equipment.

RD Robinson donated the Victorian playhouse to honor the memory of our beloved Sandra Robinson. Anna Maria Weierick donated the original spinner tree swing. The Neil family recently purchased a replacement for the airplane.

The church raised money to purchase more equipment and a small picnic pavilion. We have also received a grant in the past from the Little Swiss Foundation and are applying for another grant to replace worn out equipment and install more swings. We are also planning to add more sand to the sandbox.
